So it's another new start for me..now I'm going to start fresh in Jersey. And I don't mean moving, that's the part I have well figured after living in the US ( where we changed apartments every 1,5 year on average) and after that it all came easy, moved overseas, back to Europe, and after living in Greece for a while..yes you guessed it..we moved....

But now the circumstances have changed, because now there is 3 of us :) This fact changes it all...
Being here for just over a month I can tell one thing for sure- it's way  nicer here than New Jersey, not to mention, no 'Jersey Shore' alikes ... It is definetely more expensive than the UK, especially the rent since the apartments that you can rent are limited if you are not local etc

What is really surprising is the nurseries prices. The cost of full time is approx. 1150Pounds! and there is no State funding available untill the baby is 3( unless your baby was born here and you are here under 5 years which is not our case) . Again- 1150POunds!/month - is it worth to work then, if all or most the money you make will only cover the nursery cost? That puts Jersey Moms at disadvantage!!  they will mostly spend 3 years of their lives taking care of their babies, and after this period, how attractive will they be to a potential employer? It will be hard to find a well paid job....

Another thing that shocked me was the TV Licence. Seriously? We got the notice before we managed to move into our new apartment! It was threating us with prosecution if we watch TV without the licence. OK i get it, you need to pay what you are due but would be nice to know what we are paying for but instead we get threats and 'notice of investigation'....
Well, as I found out online ( since I never heard of TV licence;/ ) you pay it to sponsor BBC.
Again, how much the BBC's director general got after he stepped down due to Savile sex scandal??450,00..
I think that should be regulated somehow...sorry but this is nothing but another hidden 'TAX' we pay..

Enough bitchin'...let's enjoy that Jersey breeze...

Well sad moment..BOOTS SALES are almost over. It was thhis time of the year when you can get them for peanuts!! I still can't get over those Forever21 nude boots, they were 17 Pounds and georgeous!!

Still, keep browsing for them, try Ebay. Some people buy just cuz they're on sale and then re-sale them online..Good 'Luck! ;)
